I found this brilliant texture and brush. I know that it is a bit mediocre and not very snazzy, but i like the simplicity and i love the aged paper. I Incorporated a quote from a song which i thought mixed well with the tree. Its alright fro my first little taster of mix media. I am going to be taking some of my own images and drawing some elements also so i can try to make this better by making my own rather then picking a brush and clicking.
This time i used a photo that i had taken and mixed that with different coloured brushes. I like the effect at the end of his arm, it looks kind of like a bunch of flowers. I am unsure what i wanted to achieve in this image. I think it is going to take a lot of experimentation and mistakes to get to where i want to be.
In this portrait of my sister i didn't want to manipulate or saturate the image to much i wanted to practice layering and blending other media into the image. In the background i simply used the burn tool to create the deep red and make her hair allot darker. I found a small vine type swirl which i imposed onto her cheek. Because the overall image is very dark and the deep red denotes anger and energy i think the pure white flower in the corner i added to try to calm down the image to add a small bit of femininity.
